Class objectives 

• • Learning reinforcement learning and generative models

  • Exploring research topics on world models 

  • Performing condensed research on emerging issues in world models  

Midterm Exam (20%)

• • Covering all the lectures dealt with, taking for 60 min

  • Closed book exam

Research Idea Presentation (20%)

• • The presentation and documents files (PDFs) must be shared 2 days (Wed.) before the class via an email 

    • Title form: [id] [name] [title of your research] 

  • The orders of presentations will be decided based on your ID (the score bias (due to orders) will be corrected)

  • Preparing for 10 min presentation including the following contents:

    • Clear problem definition and motivation 

    • Persuasive key observation or intuition to support your idea

    • Simple and reasonable idea    

    • Making strong contrast between the conventional and proposed methods

    • Expected output 

Final Project (40%)

• • The presentation and documents files (PDFs) must be shared 2 days (Wed.) before the class via an email 

  • Preparing for 10 min presentation which effectively summarizes your paper 

Comments' Quality as Reviewers (10%)

• • You will evaluate and provide valuable comments to the presentors regarding their research

  • All the comments will be gathered and used for grading

Attendance (10%)

• • If the attendance score becomes 0, F grade will be assigned, (-2 for absence, -1 for tardy)

Ethical issues (judged by the campus law)
