We are an international research team, diverse and professional, dedicated to advancing core technologies in AI. Through collaboration, we share knowledge and experience to foster both collective and individual growth. The team is led by Prof. Sung-Ho Bae.

Principle Investigator

Sung-Ho Bae, Ph.D. ([Google Scholar], [CV]) received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, in 2011. He obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from KAIST, advised by Prof. Munchurl Kim, in 2012 and 2016, respectively. From 2016 to 2017, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), working with Prof. Wojciech Matusik. Since 2017, he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Kyung Hee University, where he also served as Dean of the department from 2021 to 2023. From 2023 to 2024, he was a Visiting Scholar in Prof. Hao Su’s Lab at the University of California, San Diego. He has received several honors and awards, including the Adobe Research Gift (2023), Young Research Scientist Award from Korea Broadcasting and Engineering (2022), Microsoft Research Asia Fellowship Nomination Award (2014), Silver Prize of the Samsung Electronics Paper Award (2015), Qualcomm Innovation Awards (2013, 2015, 2016), and Excellent Research Achievement Awards from KAIST (2014, 2015). His research interests include model and data compression, physical and generative AI.
